Week 6 at a Glance

Recapping Week 5 of Essentials.  Delving into the dialectic, we tackled the analytical tasks sheet, EEL tasks 1-4 of an interrogative sentence.  In writing, we focused on using action verbs and imagery in our paragraph

Here is a quick preview of Week 6:  We will be looking at the compound structure, declarative and exclamatory purpose, S-Vt-DO pattern sentences with EEL tasks 1-4.  Loading the grammar, we will focus on conjunctions and charts G and H (112 Model Sentences for the Compound Structure and Conjunctions).  In writing, we will look at the Prepositional Sentence Opener.

This week we want to continue loading the grammar by memorizing our charts A-H.  Copying the chart is a great learning tool!  And remember to "scale" the memorization work to the needs of your child/children.  As your child memorizes a chart, have him/her bring in a copy of the memorization work you require for your home and we will add a sticker to their "Grammar Puzzle".  This is just a small positive reinforcement to support your efforts at home.

Have a wonderful week!
